Decades ago one of my friends who captains a large container ship 🚢 dumped a entire stack of empty containers onto the 2 pirate skiffs trying to board on the side, the ships crew unlatched the stack & used a hydrologic jack to force the stack over crushing there skiffs, they basically got crushed by a wall of containers...guess the ones who survived had free container houses, another incident was my friends uncle who was operating a large fishing vessel from Korea, just turned the ship really hard & literally crushed the skiff ending the assault....they should have known not to mess with korean ships, especially one in control by a korean marine, he definitely fed the sharks well that day 🦈

The Indian navy took time because the Pirates managed to take the crew hostage, which was not the case for the other ships. You don't want to get the crew dead.
