I have heard the reason nobody charges them is that if you do you then have to take them back to your home country for trial and once there they can claim asylum which is obviously not acceptable

My dad was stationed on the USS Cape St. George, he’s on track to his 21st year in the Navy, that ship was beautiful.

The Russian Navy did it differently. They stopped the pirate ship, confiscated all of the weapons, water, food and then sank the vessel. All while the crew was still on board and 600 miles from the Somali coast.
