Thank you so much! The hose bib had been sitting broken for over 5 years! Every plumber quoted 1000 bucks to replace the bib. I tried unscrewing the broken off part and gave up until I saw your video. It came off so easily. My hose bib is finally operational again!

4 years later and this video is still really helpful! My hose was leaking from the bib, and after doing quite a bit of research, I thought I was going to need to replace the whole faucet. In a last ditch effort, I browsed through some youtube video and saw a thumbnail of a faucet that looked like mine. I watched it, ordered the part, and now my faucet is working properly again!!! Thanks so much for this video! You saved me hundreds of dollars I would have spent when I didn't have to.

OMG, I searched high and low for this part and had no idea what this was. I think it’s crazy to have to buy a specific part for this spigot especially when it has to be replaced due to leaks. Thank you, this was much appreciated!

Been trying to get that thing off for weeks! Was totally confused what to do! 3 minutes off & on with a good butane lighter and I could see bubbling at the top, screwed right off! This sure seemed easier than other videos drilling holes and sawing with blades! Thank you so much for the easy do it yourself tip, even I could use!

Thank you a million times!!! I was frustrated and about to call someone. Decided to purchase a small torch and vise grips. It worked! It was squeaking loud so I also used some WD-40 and it finally came off. I appreciate you making this video 😊

Thank you so much. You were the only one who said to apply heat to remove the old lock tite. I ws sure I was stuck and loking at a big plumber's bill!

Thank you so much for this advice! I moved into a house that had the top portion stuck on there and I just figured it was broken and I needed to hire a plumber the replace the whole bib. You are a life saver!

Thanks, I needed this. What a stupid implementation of that break off set screw.

Thank you for this video! For the life of me, I could not get that top piece off. I watched some other videos but none said to use heat. I heated it up with my multi-purpose lighter (clicker). It did take a lot longer than I thought it would, but it eventually got hot enough to twist that darn thing off. Lots of old red locktite came flaking out while turning. Thank you so much for this video!

Thanks! This video is exactly what I needed...I heated up the section with glue-lock on it (took a bit) but finally came off. Installed new backlfow component and good to go. Appreciate it!

Thank you for the video on this topic! After a number of trips to various hardware stores, trying to explain what the situation was, I was about to call a plumber... and who knows what expense that would have translated to. After watching your video, I was able to remove the overflow valve in 3 minutes. Thank you, thank you, thank you! These are nasty little devices...
