To make the piriformis stretch “better”, press down on knee for eg 10 secs, stop pressing down and use your knee to press up against your hands for eg 5 secs. Relax and repeat x 2. You will be able to get deeper 2nd and 3rd times. This is “PNF” stretching usually requiring 2 people but this works.

If you are having problems reaching your feet to tie your shoes, then you probably won't be able to lift your leg to cross it just saying.

What if you’ve had a hip replacement? My hubby has had both hips replaced (2nd one this past year) and he has some difficulty.

What if I can’t put my leg up on each other to do the hip stretch? What stretches can I do to be able to do them? I feel horrible

You're assuming that it's 'a tight hip' that is the problem...

Its not the hips that are the problem. It is the knees.
