Why Are People Getting Tired Of Mascot Horror Games???

Fnaf is a good mascot horror game that has unique gameplay unlike the ones you showed which are cheaply made cash grabs.

honestly, I kinda liked poppy playtime. It's not scary, but it makes up for it with it's decent story. also, the mechanics are cool. The fanbase does suck though along with the constant merchandising

I like fnaf tho, fnaf is the one that’s started all mascot horror games. (I think)
The lore is perfect
The characters are perfect
The villains are perfect
The game is just perfect. (Except I’m only playing SB because I can’t deal with horror well-)

Interestingly enough, one (actually unique) mascot horror game came out recently. Made by the brother of David Szymanski no less.
My Friendly Neighborhood is it called.
In comparison to most, this one's actually trying to play like Resident Evil. I was almost about to throw it in my ignore list on Steam until I discovered it's nothing like them.

sparky marky has been a dead game after being created back in 2023 but episode 3 never came out they maybe delayed it

I’m not the best person when it comes to mascot horror games but none of them scare me especially every mascot horror is just a walking simulator or a jump scare simulator

We (me, myself, and I) have a love-hate relationship with the Mascot Horror genre.

The only franchises I think that do it justice are FNAF, Bendy And The Ink Machine, and Dark Deception.

Poppy Playtime & My Friendly Neighborhood are honorable mentions since their stories, puzzles, and how they poke fun of the genre give them a more enjoyable identity.

Gartan of BanBan had promise during the very beginning, but lost itself due too merchandising and the lack of care that the Devs are putting into it.

If we're going to be getting new games for this genre in the foreseeable future (still brings in a stupid amount of views) then I'd like for the upcoming Devs to have some fun and try to make an enjoyable experience. My Friendly Neighborhood has proven that not only can it be done, but that you can have success with it while winning over the Internet's support.

you're right with it being the same copy and paste for any horror games now a days. I wish we could go back to the days when Amnesia and Outlast was new. to me, that was one of the greatest times for horror games
