To me the look of surprise on Dooku's face when Sidious told Anikan to kill him was a giveaway that he knew.

This video gives me a great desire to see a "What if Dooku lived". Imagine his anger at being used as a pawn and then thrown away. Would he have been pivotal in the empire's down fall? Or more likely, a character a lot like Darth Maul in rebels.

I think the reason Dooku did not give up Anakin because Darth Tyranus was full aware this was a test of his worthiness to remain a Sith Lord at the side of Darth Sidious. Look at the set up, a duel to the death between two combatants with the Dark Lord himself seated at his throne and watching. The winner not only lives, but claims his place as Sith Lord. Sidious continued to challenge Darth Vader in the same manner many times, right up until the duel with Luke Skywalker. Tyranous knew he was being tested and failure was death.

Great video Stupendous, I've got a question / video suggestion that I've been thinking of for a while:
The Fate of the Sith Purebloods, what happened to them?

Another reason why I think the prequels were so cool. If you combine the movies with the Clone Wars as well as the various books and comics, it has a ton of development. The movies just cant hold their own by themselves.

Count Dooku is definitely up there with Darth Vader. His sheer brilliance with words and skill with a lightsaber cannot be underrated. He's a sith lord that future sith's could definitely learn from.

I think it's very clear. When Palpatine orders anakin to kill dooku, Dooku gives him a look of shock that says everything.

Every time I watch you talk about Dooku I can't help but feel a slight disappointment with the way the movies portrayed him. He just seems kinda jammed into the movie as a filler between Maul and Vader.

Just a suggestion:
You should make a video about why Palpatine didn't keep the Clones and used Stormtroopers instead

What if Dooku *-(Somehow, beyond all reason)-* killed Yoda at the end of Attack of the Clones?

Or what if he won that duel in Revenge of The Sith?

So Dooku was a pawn in Palpatine's games. Impressive.

Stupendous Wave! I love your videos especially your what if series. So i was thinking you should do a what if series based on Dooku telling Anakin right there that Palpatine was the emperor. Or maybe a what if video describing what would have happened had Obi Wan not been knocked out by Dooku during the duel, or possibly even Anakin being the one who is knocked out during the fight.

Did Asokha have a lover after she left the Jedi order?

I like to believe that Dooku realized, in his final moments, Palpatine's plans all along. He realized he was just a pawn, and that Anakin was his true goal. He was so distraught, that he was practically speechless

It's hard to explain, & I'll probably get a lot of "No"s but that technically means that the Separatists & the Republic are on the same side. Technically. Because Palpatine is both the Chancellor, & the Dark Lord of the Sith, & that makes him leader of both sides, so from a certain point of view, the Republic & Separatists are on the same side. But, they just don't know it. It's like that one episode from the Clone Wars where General Krell sends the Clones out to fight the enemy, & he says the enemy is wearing their armor, but they don't know that General Krell sent the Clones to kill each other. It's like that from a Certain Point of View,
