But did he know Palpatine was literally the Senate?

Better yet, what would have happened if Dooku just decided to kill Palpatine while he was locked in that chair and then turned himself in?

Dooku I'm guessing in a few years after the revenge of the sith if he had lived probably would have overthrown sidious or at least tried.

ironic that palpy was there when they had quigon’s funeral, where they discuss about the second sith lord

....this is legends right? Remember that in canon, Dooku left the order years before Naboo. Even during the Pijal crisis, Dooku had already left the order for some time.

Palpatine told Dooku the story of Darth Plagueis the Wise.

Dooku would make the Empire look more legitimate in the eyes of regular civilians, and make probably have his own doctrine. He also would've been able to effectively advise Sidious on strategic matters, including about the Death Star, and would've disagreed with Tarkin on multiple occasions. Dooku had strategy and foresight, while Tarkin used brute force, and Dooku would prevail to make the Empire a real force to be reckoned with. Also, economically, Dooku would have stature and would oppose Palpatine on nationalizing (or galactizing) companies, and would support a more capitalist Empire. This would make the Empire more effective and seem more realistic, as well as looking better in the public image. That's just my opinion though.

I prefer the counts ideas for the Empire better than palps

Hey Master Wave,

I’ve been kinda busy lately and I realized I opened a real big can of worms if i wanna write this fan fiction correctly. So I did some lore research. Im just having fun, and it feels like I’m playing a BioWare game.

I really like Count Dooku as a character. He’s one of the best duelists in canon, he’s a skilled politician, he’s gone toe to toe with Anakin and Obi Wan on a number of occasions and he’s Qui Gonns Master. To be honest I think Darth Sidious got lucky that Anakin got injured like he did. Because it’s the psychological trauma that kept him loyal to Sidious. Cause like unless he wanted to possess Anakin at some point, why would you want the Chosen One as a subordinate when he’s such a loose canon. Darth Vader was a good politician, but I don’t think Anakin would’ve been. Dooku was a known commodity. Anyways, I hope you’re having as much fun as I am Master Wave!

Pt 6

Darth Maul awaited his Master in the throne room of the Mandalorian Court. He was pleased with himself for having regained enough strength to have conquered the planet, forming an alliance with the Shadow Collective, and pleased for the pain he had caused Kenobi. That pleasure was short lived at the arrival of his former Master, Darth Sidious. Maul pleaded with his Master to return to his side, but the Sith only had room for Two, and Savage Oppress was evidence of a plot of betrayal. The brothers were no match for the Dark Lord, Darth Sidious held Opress with the Force in front of his former apprentice and laughed. “If you truly wish to be back at my side then do what must be done.”

Darth Maul hesitated only for a second. In that moment he looked at his brother and thought of the genuine bond he shared with him. And then he looked up at the Chancellor and saw it. Power. Vengeance. The Dark Side. Maul called the darksaber to his hand and removed his brothers head, descending deeper into hatred. “Very good, but you have been replaced. I have other plans for you” said the Chancellor as he unleashed a torrent of lightning trapping Maul on the ground, writhing in pain.

Sidious would use Maul to lure Mother Talzin into physical form as a means of eliminating her. Maul retreated back to Dathomir at the sight of her being killed at the hands of General Grevious. He felt defeated. However, there were aspects to the Dark Side not even the Chancellor understood. Mother Talzin was more than a being of mere flesh and bone, in order to truly eliminate her, she would need to be purified. “Patience, child.” she told Maul upon his return, “nurture your hatred and your thirst for revenge. I sense our moment may be at hand.”

The fire within him flickered, “Malachor. I must go to Malachor.” Darth Maul would not be seen again until after The Fissure.

The biggest problem with Episode 2 was that the main villain doesn't appear until the final act. Dooku should have been a figure in the first few acts to build him up. Maybe it was scheduling issues, but he should have at least appeared in a hologram or something. Maybe he talks to the Jedi council (with Padme) and assures them he had nothing to do with the assassination attempt... Something.

To bad that Dooku never outed Sidious during the war.

If only Dooku learned how to master essence transfer secretly before he became a sith

The thing is Palpatine didn't need the Clones because he had the Separatists they could have wiped out the Republic and the Jedi just as easily because the Republic had no Army.
In fact if it wasn't for the Clones all the Jedi in the Arena would have been slaughtered.

I think a good follow up video to this would to go into further detail on why/what dookus intentions were when dooku told obi wan the truth about Palatine/sidious on geonosis. You have definitely covered this a bit but dooku characters is one of the most complex in star wars because though he was a sith he was not purely evil . Alot of his motives involved the death of qui gon and fixing some of the close minded views the jedi had that led to their downfall as in that conversation with obi wan he stated he intended to overthrow palpatine. Preferably with obi wans help which he obviously refused and refused to believe dooku which is also very interesting.

A very intelligent and plausible theory. Likely correct indeed.

I thought he left because his family didn't have an heir to their wealth and estate. His brothers that's were in line so how died. So he left the order to be count again but the Sidious came to him to offer power but Sidious just wanted his wealth to help finance the separatist. And the offer of power and the more knowledge sway him to be Palpatine new apprentice even though he was old but very strong in the force and gifted alittle to help serve the dark side.

That's what I thought and read. He was the only one in his bloodline to keep the wealth, estate and power of count he simply left the jedi.

What is the "Stupendous Wave's" source(s) on this information...?? Is this canon or Legends...??

How? Through the power of memes, of course. Palpatine said: "Have you ever heard the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?" And Dooku knew immediately he was a Sith Lord.
