The problem is that Monty Williams' offense, and historically the type of offense that Chris Paul runs, is one that underutilizes big men. Centers on teams with Paul are basically tasked with rim protection, defense, rebounding, and pick and rolls/catching a lob once in a while.

Ayton is so much more than that, yet he hasn't gotten the opportunity to grow his offensive game. And the 1 time this past season that he had what might have been his best and most complete offensive game of his career, in a win mind you, head coach Monty Williams in his post game presser said that "that wasn't our style of offense".

The Suns are a guard/wing centered team. Sadly, that pretty much guarantees that as long as he's with the Suns (save for a massive offensive scheme change), Ayton can never live up to his potential. He'll never get the opportunities to prove himself and he'll never get the respect from the fanbase, because all anyone sees him as is the guy taken before Luka
