Best way to lvl after 30:
Dungeon spam with:
Desto tree
Use master channeler
Use shadow bolt volley
Use incinerate

If under 5 enemies spam SBV
If over 5 enemies use incinerate + drain life + hellfire.

You do amazing aoe and healer wont nees to heal you during hellfire.

why do you skill nightfall? If you activate the rune you won´t be able to cast shadow bolt anyway?

I personally love meta and love affliction, always been an affliction fanboy, but it's just crap compared to destruction right now. Until they improve the affliction talents and DPS I'm staying destruction even though I'd prefer affliction.

I have meta and I’m currently lvl 36. I started off as meta affliction. It’s Definitely not the best lvling. Haunt and chaos bolt are just ten times better. Personally destro is best because you can tank dungeons as well or go choas bolt and kill anything in seconds.

yo meta! great build! this is how i've been playing, although improved soul drain is a sleeper talent in my opinion, if you get an execute with it you get 100% inc mana generation / 50% inc generation during casting, helps life tap less. :)

My lock is only 14. Did they say if making it easier to get the metamorphosis rune? Prob hard to get group for it now. Same for paladin rune

we need a pre quest for phase 3 already! just spammed SM to 40. not doing any quests until i know which ones to save

After 30 for Alliance:
Spec Destro, get the talent that reduces pushback with hellfire. Get a pally in your group for conc aura. Grab a healer and random DPS and enjoy doing 4 minute SM runs by grouping up the whole instance.

this video only shows you taking on mobs before level 30. Once you get 30, you will have access to siphon life, your new best friend. Playstyle is still run around and dot but your first dot will be siphon life then corruption, curse and drain life on CD. Things to point out on the spec on screen... nigthfall does nothing for meta locks, dont bother taking it. Curse of exhaustion might work on pvp servers but I'm on pve so it's useless to me. Drain life is 20 yrads, 24 with Grim reach, 2 points for 4 yards is a waste and you will be using that spell on CD while questing and leveling... maybe for after you have gotten the neccesities.
My lock is 32 right now and have tanked RFK and SMGY with very little issues and even faster after siphon life. Many times I was top healer AND top dps on some pulls. My spec right now (in the order I put points) 5/5 imp corruption, 2/2 im life tap, 5/5 imp drain life, 5/5 suppresion (missing your drain life cast sucks), 3/3 imp CoA and finally siphon life for the Affliction tree. I'm going to put 5/5 in demonic grace from demo tree but not sure what to do with the last 5 points. The last 5 points can go to imp shadowbolt, or imp voidwalker/healthstones (better sac shield), imp Imp/healthstones for more hp from bloodpact and better flame shield (but no sac pet kinda sucks) or Fel concentration for some hellfire fun (healers will hate you)

Somehow this doesn’t work for me. I even put siphon life on the mobs and refresh corruption. Still it takes like 30sec for every min to die. Can pull lots of mobs and don’t die but very long killtime
