When not filming videos, he's working out in the living room, surfing, learning dance or gymnastics moves, or riding a bike with his son in tow.

I have this in my shoulders, but I'm finding that with tai chi and qi gong training, that my muscles are the key to the popping sounds. As I iron out the stiff or crumpled fascia, the popping reduces. Never even talked about the pain, but these practices get rid of my pain altogether!

Hello sir! Informative video. My shoulder pops exactly around at 115-120° when abducting in arc movement (just at the position shown in your thumbnail). It pops only in the arc movement, not when lifting over head. It doesn’t pain as such but surely feels unstable and pain starts to come a bit if I keep repeating the motion for that pop.

Years ago my squat bar slipped and rubbed at the back of my right shoulder when I was re-racking it. I was going for a PR and was almost out at the time of re-racking it and missed by a bit on the right side (yeah my spotter was sh**). I showed it doctors and shoulder specialists and they were able to come down to a grade 2 slap tear. The rehab exercises help, especially ones where I am strengthening my external rotators and teaching my joint to be in place but I am very scared when intensely lifting weights and especially exercises like lat pull downs, flat bench dumbbell presses and shoulder presses. What should I be doing?

I had a fall this past August that was I thought 'perfect fall'! as I landed in plank on my 2 elbows but it caused severe damage to my right shoulder ( slight fracture in my humerus - that's been healing healing well/ BUT, then with an MRI we found out I had a pretty full rotator cuff TEAR!! I do not want a complete reverse shoulder replacement// And they say that's the only alternative except for keeping up my shoulder exercises with my PT... And you've been very helpful I must say just to feel your kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable support!!.(the long bicep is barley hanging in!🙄🙄😬// Any other help you could give me would be so very appreciated I used to always challenge my body to do my 'age worth' of pushups! 60+😍and I always had a very strong upper body..now this has slowed me down... point me in your best healing direction dr. Matt. You are a gem 💎 ✨..vivi

Also, my shoulders cracked and popped a lot more when I first started doing press ups. Now it does not do it as much, I think because my muscles are more developed.

My shoulder and arm cracks in 3 places as i rotate with sharp pain dull aches and swelling, I have to wait 2 weeks to 6 months for a cortisone injection. It's been 5 months since I managed to get an appointment on the nhs. I never had a mri, and I never had an x-ray. told me to exercise, and it made it worse. I've never even got sick off now. I'm in shear pain with it! No hope=/

Yes. I’ve noticed that since I took up guitar, my right shoulder pops & occasionally, my right elbow. & I’m thinking, “What kind of rockstar’s shoulder pops while they’re holding the guitar?” That is definitely not the type of percussion sound I’m goin for. 😬

How to tell where shoulder pain and limitation is coming from?

What if they popping sounds have to do with your clavicula (both ends), with certain movements/positions? Probably due to arthrosis (not artritis!) Could that do any harm?

I did calisthenics and one day I noticed i cant move my shoulder properly in some directions without some pain and something getting in the way of it. Will it heal on its own?

Pretty sure I’ve been living with a dislocated shoulder for going on 9 months now even after seeing multiple doctors. They never actually checked the bones/joints just assumed it was muscle/posture related I guess? Now I have inflamed knots all over my left side…. 😣

I have cracking sounds in my right knee when I squat. I'm assuming its the same sort of idea as this shoulder cracking? I have pretty decently strong muscles around my knee and I use their full range of motion every day so I'm wondering if it's just a matter of continuing that and It'll get better? I do notice less cracking when I consciously engage my glutes more during a squat.
