Perfect Being Theology vs. Calvinist Thinkers

If you consider God as the Maximally Great Being, the one who nothing is above, then you can't be a Calvinist. Several thinkers within the Calvinist tradition accept this by denying some of God's omni attributes.

So true. God's love was a limited concept to me as a Calvinist

0:59 “rejects Gods omnibenevolence because he says God doesn’t love all people?” Well, what do we mean by “all people?” We can’t just assume all people must be a non-Cal view. Also how is it that omnibenevolence necessarily entails what is incompatible with Calvinism? That seems like begging the question of a non-Cal view of omnibenevolence.

I clicked thumbs up. It (Calvinism) is a horrid different gospel. One caveat for me would be, I'm not so sure all it's purveyors are Brothers??

1) God does love all people, Tim, but He does not love all people equally. God sends His rain (love) on the righteous (by faith) and the unrighteous, but the righteous elect He regenerated when they were unrighteous, while the unrighteous reprobate He passes over savingly and only sends His rain.
2) God DOES have LFW. He's the only being that COULD possess it, Tim. Only, it's called "Divine Impassibility" in theology-speak and is a non-communicable attribute of God. Because you're not God, Tim, you aren't impassible and, THEREFORE, can't possess LFW.
3) God did know all true propositions prior to creating. If Dr. White denied this, he misspoke for he knows better - as you yourself indicated.

That's three strikes and out, Tim!
