Planning ahead is probably the biggest takeaway from this list even though every item in this list is a tremendous nugget of golden knowledge. Thank you for being a teacher of teachers and for being so passionate about your craft.

Thank you for all your tips... especially no. 7 don't fear criticism and not to wallow in it. I am a trainee teacher now, and I'm extremely nervous about it. I'm trying to help myself change from negative habits.

I'm an ESL teacher but I get really anxious and nervous when it comes to activities, I have absolutely no creativity and I don't know how to improve myself with that. Your channel helps me a lot and I thank you for that ✨

I am a first year teacher, I second guess every decision and get so anxious before every class. My students are from 7 to 11 years old, they get angry or violent all the time, they don't listen, and I try so hard to respond (with patience and love) and not react, but when I get home I cry a lot because I believe I can't handle it or I'm not good enough. I already gave up a class. But I'll try these tips to keep going. Thank you!

I am still a very young teacher. It's been only two years since I am in teaching. My first year went really in struggling. 😪 Now it's fine. Much better than before.

I love how integrated your perspective is pointing out that a teacher must have respect for both herself and her students, and that caring for both parties is essential not only to being a good teacher, but also a happy human!

This really hit my mind, esppecially Don't react, I react to my students' questions and request too quickly, they soon somehow think me a person who is easily give in.

I once had to sit in on a class to get to know how the school works and the teacher only had two months experience. She had troubles getting the students to participate like she wanted them to, so after class, I explained a method that has always worked for me. I had a set of Greek alphabet cards and I would assign the students a Greek letter (alpha, beta, gamma, etc.). I then pulled a card from my pocket and then called on the student. Then I set it aside and pulled the next card. That way, participation is not a big problem and teachers don't play favorites.

I explained this much like you are explaining your methods and she thanked me for my advice. She then reported me for harassment.

I'm from Brazil and I'm studying English Teaching. To be honest, I'm very shy, that's why I just subscribed to your channel. I need to build up more confidence as a teacher.

This was super useful. Not only the advices, for which I am very grateful, but also hearing you mentioning all those overwhelming questions at the beginning of the video, as I felt understood for the first time...
Love your energy, thank you for this content

Oh my god this really hit home for me :') The Imposter Syndrome is real. However I disagree about working on weekends. If you can't finish them during working hours they're not simple enough, or you're being overworked. You should always consider work-life balance.
