I'm happy Noam Chomsky is still alive and still has a strong mind. His perspective was very much needed.

Always great to hear from Chomsky, surprised more people haven't invited him on their podcasts

And just love you in general.

Why does so much of our energy and resources have to go into killing each other? I can imagine a better world, why can't the leaders of nations?

Extremely salient point about what form a Russian defeat in Ukraine would take, what that would look like. Efforts to negotiate an end to the fighting must be stepped up.

A nuclear war is such a horrific scene to be even imagined, this is DEFINITELY a huge pivot in history since we were introduced to mass weapons of destruction. mankind has never had it's hands on this kinda power until just recently

I hope one thing that might come out of the Russian invasion of Ukraine is a more united Europe. Let’s make sure this was does not degenerate into a nuclear conflict and use this memory as a cautionary tale to do all we can to not end up there in the future.

Not sure I agree with that opening statement. I actually don't spend time worrying about nuclear war. Gosh, I must be dumb.

Putin is not a mad man. He's a calulated intelligent man. Let's not right him off as mad.

Always loved Chomsky, but it made me sad when he started scapegoating those who refused the covid vax. I can't remember what he said exactly, but it was something like "they should be forcefully removed from society." We are all opinionated, but divisive opinions like these are dangerous.

I think the aliens will stop it if someone tried. 😛

We can avoid it but destroying all the nuclear weapons globally. Although I’m sure one country wouldn’t want to do that.

What good is the UN? If they want to do something their should be huge consequences but no one talks about what they have to say about this war.

How is this old guy's mind still so diligent in thought and perspective? I see myself clocking out at around 55 mentally, I'll have had enough by then😂
