Should students take Calculus? | Week 41 Open Q&A

👉 In this livestream I will cover the benefits as well a disadvantages to promoting calculus in our education system. To be clear I am not against calculus at all but do have some issues with our current educational system and why we push so many students into calculus.

But what if I DO want to be good at Calculus? I plan on getting in robotics and analytics, AI...a whole new world opening up if I do take calculus, right? I guess what I'm trying to say, is that kids don't actually know what they are missing if they don't take calculus.

Help them see the stars, planets, and maybe even some flying cars someday; this is great motivation for them. You might've had an Elon Musk or Tesla sitting in one of your classes, and you didn't even know it. LOL.

But, my question is, How do I be good at Calculus? The real hard truth. I've only had one trig professor of mine be real with me...and it's a lot of hard work. We've both been athletes, and we know what it takes to be a winner; repetitionx1000, and preferably perfect repetitions.

I'd like to know your thoughts on this, as I'm retaking my trig and Calculus classes (as they are old), to get into a MASTERS program.
