I have to say, I've never had lasagne this way, and I'm Italian, but I'll tell you what, you got my mouth friggin' watering, and I know this is alot of work to make, but this is going on my Christmas menu this year!! What a terrific dish!!

My mother would make Lasagna in a pan like that, but the cheap aluminum. We took it to my Grandmother's sometimes. My Dad had a small piece of plywood that he would carry it on because it was so heavy. Good times. Great recipe.

I am also from Brooklyn and love my eggplant. My dad is from Italy and we make a tray of eggplant with Ricotta like a sandwich. One of my favorite dishes. I may try this for the holidays. I need to find the fresh sheets of lasagna in Florida. I bet your momma taught you how to cook so good:)
