Fred McGriff is one of those underrated players that younger fans will never really think about.. But he was a beast.

Man I still remember those awesome Braves teams. Big 3 pitchers and Steve Avery, Chipper, crime dog, lemke/blauser, terry pendleton, justice, gant, nixon. Man that takes me back.

It's great to see that Maddux saw he was waved off by McGriff, and then also saw Chipper coming and intentionally cut him off to keep him from messing up McGriff's catch.

I absolutely love chipper jones' stories. He told one where he fell off the bench cracking up when John Smoltz got hit by a pitch, the way his body sort of flopped around like a fish while still on his feet.

I was and still am a Phillies fan, but being a fan of the game I was a huge fan of Atlanta as well. Just a stacked lineup that somehow managed to only win it once in the 90’s. I still have a mint team set of cards from the 1995 Atlanta Braves in a drawer somewhere.
