The way Nvidia pricing is going lately it will probably cost $5090

11:51 Sparkle was historically one of Nvidia's first AIB/AICs, they mainly focused on cards using the PCI slots, (back when AGP was still the standard), and low profile cards. Seem to have pulled an EVGA around 2013~ish, and focused entirely on embedded graphics. I suppose the call from Intel went something like: "Hey, you want to make actual graphics cards again?" "Depends, you're not gonna do us as dirty as Jensen, right?" "Nah, we're cool." "Alright, we'll give it a shot..." Getting Sparkle back into cards, (and not Nvidia ones to boot), was probably no small brag for Intel management. I would be interested to see if they talk EVGA back into the graphics card business for Celestial's launch.
If you think back to the Supply Chain Crisis a few years back, Intel's AIBs make perfect sense. All three are Taiwan based companies. If you have TSMC building the chips, then retooling the factory and placing those chips onto AIB boards the next day, then loading those finished boards onto a local truck to the AIBs for cooling solutions and packaging... weakest link in the chain is the container ship from Taiwan to Los Angeles/etc. Whoever did the logistics planning at Intel was submitting A work. I mean, the rest of Alchemist's launch was a little sketchy, but the planning phase was well done.

Recent rumors claim a 50% increase in performance for the 5090 over the 4090 in rasterized performance and possibly 2X - 2.5X in ray tracing performance which seems plausible given how the 5090 won't have as big of a node shrink as the 4090.

I still think 50 series will be alarmingly expensive. Everyone forgets that retailers will mark up from the MSRP Nvidia sets

I think Nvidia has pushed the prices on every segment as much as they could. The RTX 5000 series might actually be a decent launch even if they keep the same prices as last gen but give a decent performance boost and massive power efficiency boost. I could see a 9600x3D paired with a 5060 that has about the same performance as a 4070 being an amazing budget next gen build for gaming and productivity. Will probably have to wait till May 2025 for 5060 tho

I can honestly say that while I'm subscribed to a number of tech channels, I get the most enjoyment out of your videos. I love keeping up with the latest news/pricing/releases even when I'm not in the market for an upgrade. Great stuff, Jason!

Hey, thanks for the shout out and for answering my questions! I'm super stoked for upcoming Intel GPUs and for Nvidia consumer CPUs.

I bought my son Spiderman Miles Morales yesterday on Steam. I was watching him play it and was totally blown away at the graphics quality and fluidity that he's getting out of his A750. FWIW, in my son's build, he has a Sparkle A750, which is a decent quality card that is an excellent value (got for $200 new). Additionally, I hope that Acer would jump in and also make Nvidia and AMD cards. We have another build with Bifrost A750 and the build quality is insane. It's on par with Nvidia 4000 FE card quality. Performance on that sucker is also an incredible value (got it for $200 new)!

Really happy with all the options out there now, and the ones coming in the near future. Really grateful for your content! 🙏

I'm planning on building a PC around Christmas but now I'm worried about missing the 50 series launch 😭

LMAO. Nvidia has never released a GPU that was "4x" as powerful as its predecessor, and that includes the amazing outlier that was the 1080 Ti. The 5090 isn't going to be some major performance boost that always gets shopped around every single time a new GPU is imminent. At most it will be 60% more powerful than the 4090, but likely 45%. And cost 20% more.

Got a 7800x3d paired with a 4080S OC currently.Have a 4090 OC waiting to see what the 9000x3d has to offer to pair it to. 5090 maybe in a year if the 9000x3d variant works well with it?
