The planche is a skill most people aspire to learn. BUT IT"S SO DAMN HARD!
It can be fun to try the calisthenics skills we want to eventually learn... Even if it ends in total failure.

It’s so tempting to come to YouTube and look for the one trick that will get you to be able to do the thing you are trying to do, but sometimes you’re just not ready/strong enough (like me in this video) - and it’s more than ok to acknowledge that

We should actually be glad when we find these areas of weakness because they are also likely going to be the areas that are ripe for improvement!

What I love most about this is that even though this video is about failure, it's still crazy motivating!

Really glad I found your channel. I've been training calisthenics for about a year (currently trying to master handstands) and you're definitely more advanced than me but it's cool to see someone who's also in the somewhat intermediate stage of their journey instead of a lot of the other YouTubers who are already super advanced

Dont stress mate, im positive u gonna get it one day. Also, thanks for making this video mate. You have made me understand the importance of the basics. Now, im gonna try to perfect them from every possible angle, even if it takes me years, cuz ik all that effort will pay off once i hop on to the Calisthenics advanced skills train. Thanks Andrew 🙏

It's nice to see a fellow showing their progress in learning calisthenics 😊 I've just started mine, not even at your level yet, but best wishes to all of us who are determined on our calisthenics journey! 💪💪💪

I tried to do a frog stand and I'm very glad I had a cushion in front of my face! 🙈

Your tucked planche looks better than your first L-Sit attempt... you will get there one day 💪🏻

Planche strength is all in the scapula baby. Strengthen the scapula. Strengthen the straight arm strength.

Combine that with pseudo planche push ups, and it’ll come naturally 🔥🔥

Hi brother you turn me on with the planche. As you know i also start strong working on it. At the moment in two month i progress to tuck planche hold for 17 seconds from almost zero sec. It is not perfect i have to raise my back and butt up more. I know it a ling prosses it take months and maybe years. Planche for me is the king if skills. I notice in yours video the shoulders should be protracted up. Yes i learn it, and then lift your legs to the chest with time you will be stronger the presses is slow. I have already learn a lot in theory what to do and try to apply it. Now I'm starting work on hyper reverse to strong my back and butt muscles to support legs and back straight line. It is a long journey and I'm happy to do it with you. You have the ground of the planche. Planche is almost all body muscle activation it is a well value challenge to archive. Peace and love bro 💪💪💪

That’s a great attempt. No need to rush it but it’s good to start early with it too. I recommend you put ur hands in a semi supine position so In 90 degrees. Lean a bit and try to bring your knees to your chest as tight as possible. And whenever u r ready tense ur abs even more and lift the legs.
The hips being lower than the shoulders is abs, maybe you didn’t contact them. And I feel like if you enter the tuck in a better way it would be more efficient.

The journey is as important as the destination, as long as you can see progress. Not seeing progress, however, can be very demotivating.

Did you watch Daniel's of fitnessFAQs conversation with simonster? They discussed very good information on everything planche related it might help.

While you are right to say that it’s better to be slow and steady as well as the fact that it is absurd to get skills over a short period of time. Tell me if I am wrong but even if your tuck planche is weak, I think u are ready for the planche. I am not saying this because of your handstand experience or whatsoever but u must understand that planche is not only something that you must have insane strength to do it but also something your body must adapt to it and by just waiting till the time comes by training other moves like handstands, L-sit, your body still won’t understand the necessary movement pattern and technique of the planche. This is like studying math for a physics test, both test require you to write, both require calculations but, there are still many terms in physics as well as formulas that your math textbook won’t provide. If you are not comfortable with tuck planche then that’s fine but you can start small by just doing planche leans (which has a similar movement pattern in planche)each hold should last about 5-10 seconds and once you feel more comfortable, you can try the tuck planche and progress as time passes

Late comment but I will just suggest really working on those handstand push-ups then trying to achieve the 90° handstand push-up before trying to get into any planche work
