This video is about the length of a solar day vs a stellar day vs a mean standard day, what they all have to do with each other and the earth's orbit, eccentricity, axial tilt, and so on. Also, aliens and asteroids. It'll explain the equation of time, and why the longest day is in December. The lab will also show you what days are like on all the other planets - Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and even - though it's not a planet - Pluto.

I used to watch you when I was about 14 or so. I used to think that I wanted to be a physicist, that's how entertaining your videos were to me. I took notes on your videos for fun. I am 20 and in college now. I decided biochem and need to take physics. Things change so much because I literally hate physics and anything math related now. Revisiting your channel to try to relight that spark so I can motivate myself to do better in my classes!

It's so obvious in retrospect but I had never thought about it until someone pointed it out. That a day is not equal to the time it takes earth to spin around its axis once.
