So glad to see the Celestial Danio in the tank! Everything turned out so beautifully, I’m very excited to see both of the tanks mature!

Anyone else love the look of nano fish in larger aquariums, in big schools?

John, it is so fun when you are pumped up! I love both of your tanks and stocking choices. I am real excited to see what you do with those Pea Puffers!! 🥰

One thing I have to mention, Cardinal Tetras are on the breaking point with 4-5 in numbers. They will be skittish at this low of numbers. Put them into a small tank like that and they will be really skittish. I had a school slowly dwindle in numbers over the years and reach that point. They were always hiding in the back of the tank behind plants. I brought their numbers up from 4 to 12 and they are confident once more. When I come near the tank to say hello, they come running to return the greeting. Oh, and they are in a 20 gallon planted tank.

I moved from Baltimore MD out west in middle school. I remember going to this store as a child!! So awesome to see it years later. Honestly this store may be where I saw my first cool fish and inspired me years later to start my own tanks. Awesome to see it featured frequently on one of my favorite aquarium youtube channels!

While most of these fish are good for beginners, I think the ember tetras are one of the best, because they're so darn hardy!

I did months of research before stocking my flex 9gal. Ended up with 6 harlequin rasboras that are doing great.

Brilliant stocking ideas John. I keep nano tanks so I'm steered towards the endlers. Such active little fish with beautiful colours. Also love the chilis, not so keen on the cpds

I also have CPDs. They are in a 20g with Em ER Tetras and Emerald Dwarf Rasboras (my mini tigers.) When I redid my son's tank I got an assortment of Endlers. I'm hooked on these fish. I have been debating on breeding them.

The Aquatop aquariums are great. The filter output can be to much for some fish liked Bettas. I cut a rectangular piece of course filter media and attached to outlet. Perfect way to slow the flow! Also the LED light on the 5 gallon can be distracting if your sitting across the room from aquarium. I put a strip of black tape on light as a curtain. Works great! To cut down on brightness I covered a few LEDs. Looks amazing!
