This week, we remember the sacrifices made by Allied troops 77 years ago during Operation #MarketGarden.

Market Garden was a massive #Airborne operation that sought to end the Second World War quickly by seizing key bridges in the #Netherlands. U.S. Army #Paratroopers of the 82nd Airborne Division and 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) would fight alongside other Allied forces, but ultimately would not succeed.

Still, their efforts lead to gains that would eventually end the war and strengthen the bonds between the U.S. and its Allies in #Europe.

This year, #Paratroopers with 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, participated in a series of ceremonies and memorial jumps in honor of those fought and made the ultimate sacrifice. This includes #FalconLeap 2021--an airborne operation that involved 11 Allied countries at Drop Zone Y, #Ede, Netherlands.
