The polish cientists had special role in breaking the enigma machine code.

Saw the movie in the theater as a kid- always been intrigued by the whole ordeal.
Don’t always see a movie where the Allies don’t absolutely win the battle.
Such bravery, by the real men and civilians that experienced the whole ordeal.
I do remember reading how the Germans punished the civilians through the winter of 44-45.
God bless those Polish fighters!
People rising to momentous times back then.
The Ukrainians know all about what it takes to fight tyranny.

Sosabowski was unrightfully used as scapegoat for the failing of operation Market Garden. Later he was fully rehabilitated, and got awarded the Bronze Lion by the Dutch government. The Dutch still hold Sosabowski and his airborne brigade in high regard. They will not be forgotten.

Market Garden was a ridiculous idea to start with. Montgomery and Browning, should have been done for murder. It was a complete mess from start to finish.
