Why Do We Die?

Because it's human nature to not appreciate what we have if we don't have to struggle.
If you give a child everything they want; they aren't grateful. They are spoiled and badly behaved.

Without pain you don't grow.

I've been taught this for 50 years. It is the proper answer to "why would God make us die." If you don't have hardship to overcome, you can not know the highest satisfaction that comes from overcoming hardship.

Suffering is the light of awareness. It makes us ask why, what, where, when. Suffering gives birth to consciousness and self awareness. Without Suffering, there would be nothing individual.

Yes, it makes so much sense to me. I have been through a lot of trauma in my life and healed with the help of Christ Jesus. Now I put myself purposely into situations that I have been afraid of, so that I can learn to see.

Death makes sense! It proves to me that we are not in a matrix but rather base reality. You have so much time to get to know the lord. When you die you grow in new ways and if you play your cards right he will not say "I never knew you"❤

That definitely describes my situation. Had men’s. small group at my house, taught recovery programs two times a week at church Broke my back fighting a fire from a lightning strike. Ceiling wall gave way and the next thing I Know I’m being carried to an ambulance. For the last 2 years I’ve been in excruciating pain lost the use of my legs and have had 7 surgeries. I’m scheduled for my 8th surgery January 10th. I’m praying the surgery goes well and I am restored to my present health. Gods will be done.

Very great question. Pain and suffering is different to death we can't compare the two. But it is writen the wedges of sin is death, we die because we all have fallen short of God's glory.. Remember, before in old testament so many righteous men were taken to heaven or carried without testing death.

So we die because of sin but with the gift of salvation christ give us his glory in making our heart righteous again 🙏

As a raised Protestant soon to be confirmed Catholic, I have to ask...what about people who die suddenly and randomly? Like civilians in war or kids during school shootings? How do those sudden deaths glorify God when there's no hope or chance to heal?

Death is a blessing when we become old..and frail, when we outlive all our friends and family, dealing with age related illnesses..like dementia or alzheimers.

Death is literally the payment (wages) for sin according to scripture. Jesus literally paid the debt we owe for our sin when he took our place on the cross.
