Personally when i died as a child long ago I felt no pain drowning, only panic... After i went through a scary panic, I remember passing out and yeah it was like there was nothing but darkness as if i went to sleep...
But shortly after passing out i remember gaining consciousness while being pulled through the water by an angel surrounded by this comforting feeling and a bright light, I realized that there is a God and I know what awaits us ...
