DEAD Talks with David Ferrugio engages death a little bit differently. Each new guest shares their experience with grieving or perspective on death in a way that shatters the “don’t talk about death” taboo. Grief doesn't end, it evolves. Having lost his father on September 11th when he was 12 he learned the importance of discussion and sharing other people's stories. Grief, loss, death, mourning, trauma or whatever it may be, DEAD Talks Podcast hopes to make it a little easier to talk about. You may cry; but, you also may laugh.

The absence of existence is what terrifies me about death. Everything I learned, everything I felt, all my loved ones... gone. I have a hard time seeing the value of these little moments, they kind of lose there meaning when I think of death. None of this will matter in the end if we just disappear.

His explanation scares me because I know that in my absence of existence before I was born, there was nothing, I was nothing, not a dream, or thought, or supernatural void was I. So he is saying that in death, I will become nothing again. And that terrifies me. On the other hand, I firmly believe that absence of existence is different from before we were born to after we die. Before we were born, we, nor our souls, existed. After we have been born and have lived, our souls were born and grew. I whole heartedly believe my soul, my memories, and my spirit will live on forever post death.

I can tell you've never had an out of body experience from a near death experience. There's no question in my mind there's more to life and death than what we know. We simply don't have the tools to measure it.

Just because we didnt remember anything before birth does not mean there isnt an after-life after death. Science can not explain consciousness and the fact that we know we are here.Someone had to have put it there

The human brain is capable of amazing things to help make sense of life. I’ve died before and been close more than once. People are going to experience things differently due to our upbringing and general life exposures. No religion has been definitively proven to be right or correct so why don’t you just live your life as best you can and your conscience will take it easy on you.

I have existed for millions perhaps billions of years I do not remember my past. I only remember my present. I don't remember what happened before I was born and I doubt I'll remember what happens after I'm dead. We are like a flame that needs energy and air to survive. Our life can be easily blown out into nothingness like a flame and we will be forgotten. I don't fear death nor will I cry over a loved one who has past away I will dwell on my memories with that loved one not cry because I can never see or speak to them

We are not discussing the physical universe, but the dimensions beyond.

Im going to risk sounding crazy BUT this IS my experience. There are two.

1. At the age of fifteen i had a heat stroke and when i passed out i landed on top of broken glass, which stabbed me in my jugular. I lost a lot of blood and i was dying. Upon arrival to the hospital, i was not conscious in my body. But i was completely conscious OUTSIDE of my body. I hovered over the room like a helium baloon of light and warmth. I had no pain, no worries, no thoughts. I simply was watching and listening to everything that was going on around my body with nothing other than acceptance.

2. After my son, 18 yra old, passed away- i was in bed next to my daughter. I had my eyes closed, it was dark, and we were on the second floor of the house. I became aware of a bright light which caused me to open my eyes to determine its source. Floating, outside my bedroom window was a bright orb. A shining ball. It passed through the window and into my room. I then heard my sons voice say "mom can you scoot over so that i can lay down too?" I scooted back and the orb gently came towards me, came in between my daughter and i on the bed, and sank down into my chest.

Okay ladies and gentleman, here’s a soothing idea. I think

Whatever put us here designed us to look the way we are, sound the way we do, and have the feelings we do.. one being fear.

I argue that with “God”, fear is an important aspect to the journey to trust.

With all that being said, he’s intellectually gifted & powerful enough to make sure we’re okay with the Gift death brings just as the gift of this life he has provided.. just because he’s cool like that.

There are bad things that happen but the majority of the world has hope and wants good things for a reason. I bet you do

That’s a bigger part of who God is I believe

Peace travelers

1. There is a big difference. Now you are here and disappearing well... is SOMETHING big. 2. I could agree that understanding where we came from will let us know more about where we are heading and this is something we avoid thinking about too much...
