This should be a first class action lawsuit against Google. We have all our stuff we've bought with our hard earned money. Most of our bank accounts are attached to our damn Google account. I've purchased multiple game titles under my account. Im about to switch back to Yahoo at this point. Google is a joke. Thank you for this important info Leo. Having lost my phone recently I had great difficulty with my bank account because the bank has no option other than verifying some transactions I wanted to do where a security code was sent to my phone. I had a bit of a fall out with a face to face meeting with a staff member at the bank. I said it was ridiculous that there was no other option. The problem is that they bring out these new methods without informing people of how they work and precautions to take. Most of the population is not tech savvy and keeping up with these changes is not easy.

I tried verifying my email but I already used the link so now I have no idea how to verify it and because the account I am commenting on has already been used for my game and I don't remember the password I wanted to create a new email so once I did that I didn't verify it so now that account has been used so now I can't use it anymore unless I log into that account and I tried a logging in with another account and it said that link has already been used I deleted the previous account that I verified so I need to figure out a way to verify my account without using the link or at least using a different link I don't know if I'm just an idiot but now Idk how to verify my email cuz that link doesn't work

I know what my google account and password is but google gives me verification that needs the code from my old phone number which I never activated before. My old phone and number is long gone (probably 2 years now). Google doesn't give me other option to recover the account like verify account through Gmail even though I had a Gmail account connected to it. How can I fix this? The one and only option in recovering my account is sending a code from my old number and nothing else. Clicking "forget password" or "account recovery" just makes me do it again. -_-

Recovery email address may be useless if you are travelling because you may not be able to login either. How exactly can you use a tablet to get a security code even if you are not online ??

What if you had it linked with another email, but for some reason the emails arent linked anymore? Someone else has my old number and is ignoring me and wont just be nice and give me the code. Blah

Maybe security preparation is something to arrange as soon as the google account is created. Maybe add ONE OR TWO recovery email accounts which user creates MAINLY for the purposes of account recoveries.
