These stories are always tragic, but that second one... Absolutely heartbreaking. Rest in peace, JOE. You deserved better.

Edit: This poor man's name was Joe Arridy, not Henry. Henry Arridy was Joe's father.

The negligence level in Kyle's case is unforgiveable and the death of Henry is beyond tragic.

Ugh, you weren't kidding, all of these were so frustrating to sit through. I hate tragic deaths that could have been prevented if people just weren't so stupid or negligent.

😭😭😭 Henry! The fact that he asked for his last meal to be saved for later... It breaks my heart

The way the caretakers treated that veterans’ memorial pool is a striking metaphor for how our governmental caretakers treat actual veterans. How embarrassing.

That lifeguard who refused to help should be in prison for manslaughter

Lifeguards can be the worst. Your kid can be drowning right in front of them and they sit there and watch .

Kyles story is why I’m so paranoid about wearing my smart watch at all times. It’s so sad that happened and I’m glad his family at least got a the settlement. :/

Stupid people should not have jobs with any responsibilities attached. You know, life guards, and cops.

sadly, a common theme here is if people would just do their fukin jobs, shit like this could have been prevented. "sorry im on my break" and the operators completely fukin everything up got me upset. Cant imagine being in those the car guy knew he was dead too, knew that no one would come to help him, poor guy

The first case is simply infuriating.

"Someone is drowning"
-"I'm on break. Don't bother me"

That's the worst life guard I've ever heard of. Damn.

Imagine being the type of person who gets a job as a lifeguard and then says "I'm on break" when told somebody is drowning.

The fact that a lifeguard refused to help because "she was on break" absolutely boils my blood. You are NEVER on break when lives are involved.

Why are so many people into swimming in murky gross pool water?

Joe Arridy's case is one of the biggest cases of injustice in the American criminal system we've ever seen. May he rest in paradise, with all the ice cream he could ever desire. I'm a lawyer and every day I believe less and less in the system.

Kyle's case always breaks my heart. Especially listening to the real audio..he gave them a full description of the car AND what parking lot he was in. Shame on those 911 operators not relaying this information correctly and the officers not getting out of their vehicles to thoroughly check. I hope this situation lies heavily on their hearts forever for their blatant incompetence.

I would say the jury is just as guilty as the state for knowingly convicting, and murdering an innocent man even if he "confessed"...
God that's such a heartbreaking story.
