That first story is straight out of final destination

I feel so bad for the social worker in the last story. She tried SO hard to get those children the help they needed but so many people dropped the ball it’s ridiculous.

14:42 law enforcement: "we can excuse suspected child neglect and missing children, but we draw the line at not paying rent"

That first story is going to require a lot of unpacking in therapy when the kid gets older

The first story was morbidly layered.. almost unbelievable

That last story is heartbreaking. The one social worker that tried but no one would listen. Those poor girls.

The first story sounds like the Grim Reaper performing a trickshot.

When the first story went to '...and the man felt a sharp pain in his chest' I exclaimed 'oh come on!'

The first story has me audibly gasping in disbelief. Imagine being that little boy and knowing how it all unfolded.

Absolutely disgraceful that those girls were missing from school for MONTHS and authorities didn't step in. I had a student who was pushing 40 absences with no word from her or parents and I reported to CPS 3 times and all 3 times they said no investigation was needed. Thankfully the students parents finally reached out and explained the absence and we were able to get her back on track, but I was terrified for those weeks that she was dead in a ditch somewhere.

The detective said "it seemed more like an execution than self defense"bro screw you, the moment a stranger breaks into my home it becomes self defense, let alone when he's attacking my wife. What did the detective want?? "Hi um excuse me sir what are you doing in my house? Please stop". What a joke. Good riddance to that guy sounds like the homeowner did a public service

Those poor kids in the final story were failed horribly by multiple people. At the very least one person tried to help them but they were ignored it seems like. What a horrible way to die.

*_FOUR_* deaths because of a FETCH accident
Disturbingly, the way you've described it sounds exactly like a Final Destination scene, but believeable

Imagine being another bystander in the first story. I'd be scared to move! "OK! CAN EVERYONE STOP DYING, PLEASE?!?"

I feel especially bad for the family in the second story. I really do hope they're okay, and can experience peace in their lives at some point.

Why, oh why, do people ignore bad smells emanating from a location, especially when they haven't seen the occupants in a while? If a scenario like that happened in my neighborhood, I would be calling the police every day.

that last story really does sum up the priorites of authorities and government agencies huh?
"Hey i think there are kids in danger" "..."
"No really, they havent been seen in months" "..."
"check on them at least!" "yeah i looked and the mom is being real suspicious and one of them is missing but like, no biggie right?"
"Oh this lady hasn't paid the rent in a while" "oh we better get on that IMMEDIATELY"
disgraceful man

Every time I hear about any story regarding CPS failing at their jobs due to plain neglect... it makes me very very angry. Especially considering I had to file a report a few months ago on behalf of a kid I was tutoring and taking to school. Never heard anything back and the POS pops basically ran, the home is abandoned now and no news has ever came through.
