I want to love this phone, my biggest gripes are no available themes without using a launcher, can't remove the google search bar or at a glance. I love the feel, love everything about it but those things. Love my Ultra because of themes, the anti reflective screen, and I can set my home screen however I want

I have the pixel 9 pro xl. I love it overall more than my s24u. When I switched to the beta, it got snappier and still retained its liquid smoothness that’s leaps and bounds better than my s24u.

I agree with everything except the flat sides. I absolutely hate flat sides. The 8 Pro had it perfect. Flat screen, slightly curved frame. Not a deal breaker, though. Still love my 9P XL. The battery is crazy.

I find the camera on this phone to be very inconsistent. I've taken some shots that were unexpectedly jaw dropping, and then others I expected to be great that turned out pretty washed out and out of focus. I also don't love the way Google calibrated the brightness slider - the screen only seems vibrant at the very top of the brightness scale. Put it down to 50% brightness and the screen looks washed out and pretty bad imo. That's not the case on the s24 Ultra, which can be used at pretty much any brightness level and still looks great. I do really enjoy the phone for what you describe as the "it" factor - the haptics, transitions, typing, etc, as well as the form factor, and the Tensor chip has not been an issue at all. It is a very good phone, but probably falls a bit short of the s24 ultra.

Going from my OnePlus 11 I'm mostly impressed by the battery life.

I was really happy with 6-7 hours of soc, but now I get 8-10 hours and it's super impressive to me.

Also the selfie camera is excellent!

Haven't used an Android phone since the Galaxy S8+, but the Pixel 9 series is making me look and seriously considering switching. Have played with them in person and they're so smooth. Better than my iPhone 15+.

I love my 9 pro XL. It is the best phone I've ever owned. My phone charges very quickly up to 50%. Faster than what many people report. It then seems to gradually reduce charging speed from that point on.
I bought the 256 storage option that should have been the base amount.

I like my 9 Pro XL, it's fast, good battery, great AI features, really good smooth snappy experience, but the camera isn't quite as good as my old 4xl 6 Pro 7 Pro 8 Pro was. I think the post processing is a bit extreme this year, but it will improve with future updates. I'm still going for the S25 Ultra in January, but, I won't be getting rid of my pixel until I've well tested the Samsung. 😊❤
