Sushi Guy's Guide: Costco Ahi Tuna for Sushi and Sashimi Use (v1)

The ahi (yellowfin) tuna is probably the most requested fish by my viewers.

$49.27 Costco Tuna is an unbeatable sushi hack. Let's turn this $49 loin to $600+ worth of sushi at home. You can also make costco tuna sashimi and sushi using the steaks as well #sushi #sashimi #tuna #costco #thesushiguy #fyp #japanesefood

No need to do a salt + sugar cure like the salmon?

Could you make an uncut version of how to fillet the tuna? I got mine but I got a couple of very tendony pieces

Great Video, here in Germany I sometimes buy Tuna at Metro Wholesale as they offer fresh fish. I am wondering how your vacuum sealed frozen tuna will look like when you thaw it. Mine always lost color pretty fast. Please let us have a video about that too! :)

Was this previously frozen? So you can refreeze it? Ours is marked previously frozen and only steaks. I may ask them to leave me a loin and see if they will.

It was very thoughtful of you to give a trigger warning some people are very sensitive to certain sounds, just another reason to watch you.

I would definitely freeze wild tuna for a week just to be sage

I ate too much, the whole thing, and had a serious system flush. A flush is good once in a while. My mistake.

Wait... didn't the part about the process for freezing/parasite safety say that the paragraph shown specifically doesn't apply to Yellowfin Tuna (the type used in the video)?

When I see these videos I can't justify spending all that money at a Chinese owned Sushi spot anymore...They probably do the same stuff as shown in this video.
