Thats bs, some japanese kamikaze pilots returned many times. They were just accepted that either they couldnr attack because of navigation error or bad wheater

So many things are false.
1. Kamikaze pilots didn't always do it for their country or emperor, most reasons were actually personal. "I am not doing this for my emperor or my country, but for my loving wife"
2. Many kamikaze pilots would return due to weather or not being able to find a target

I think most kamikaze pilots were ancestors of samurai and samurai would use the practice of (I forgot what it's called) which they would cut their stomach open because 1. They didn't want to be captured by enemy forces 2. They believed their soul was in their stomach. Also I believe 1 In 9 kamikaze pilots actually hit their target and there was a man who survived I think 6-9 kamikaze flights because he got shot down then a few years ago he released a book about it

They weren’t considered cowards on there first or second time they usually couldn’t find a good target so they would come back and there government understood this and didn’t want to have them die ungloriouslyor whatever

If it was from their control of being unable to complete the mission they would be returned to the air on a later mission, not all die only the ones who have no excuse.
