Hello grant . I can totally relate to your condition . I have large formations of floaters in both eyes . Ive had them for around 2 years and im struggling to cope with normal life. I also see "firefly" like floaters and shadows which sweep across my field of vision which makes my anxiety worse . Im 27 years old . It is a relief to know im not alone. Your story inspires me to keep strong.

Yes! I've had anxiety issues with it. But now im just really really used to it. I know you can cope with it. You are perfectly fine!

I'm glad to see you're doing well and staying positive. I have 2 minor eye floaters, one in each eye, that I ignore 90% of the time and are nothing as bad as what you had. I can't imagine what you have been through!

I am 31 and got eye floaters for no reason this July. I've spent a lot of time worrying about them etc but most of my worrying is due to the fact of reading about vitrectomies and deciding what to do. This has really helped me decide surgery is not for me and now I just need to get on. Ive always been very happy and now the challenge is not to let this change me. Yes I'd love to get rid of floaters but at what expense it's a 50/50 as to what might happen in a surgery. All the best for the future grant

You are an inspiration!
I suffer from Visual snow and floaters. I can handle the visual snow but the floaters drive me crazy. I also have a blind spot from the visual snow and that is manageable compared to the floaters. By the way we don't live on a ball and the earth is flat! :-)

Hey brother I wanna thank you for this video update and I applaud you for the words of wisdom! I've watched a lot read a lot about floaters and those who suffer and I think to put it simple you put the chances of complications upfront. I have had floaters for 13 years and I've always coped they have gotten worse months ago but are not debilitating but are a really strong pull on my metal health as I sit in my living room now with light coming it they are all over the place but do not block my vision. there is a non-invasive treatment for this condition, it is called ellex laser vitreolysis. I already had 2 sessions and my vision greatly improved, floaters greatly diminished.

if your floaters really annoy you there is a solution it is called vitrectomy, it is not without risks of course but technology is very good and these risks are low. You seem presbiopic so in your case retinal detachment is low risk. depending on where you live i might be able to suggest a good VR surgeon.

I have eye floaters and it's a very horrible condition so you guys are not alone but I wanted to mention to everybody that God has healed people of many diseases through prayer. I will continue to have faith in God and I will pray. I asked that you all please say a prayer for me and in return I will say a prayer for you because I know how horrible this condition is and if the Lord heals me i wish the same upon you all. please look on YouTube about healing through Jesus there are many testimonies of cancer blindness and other sicknesses being cured.
