The squiggly specks floating around your line of sight can be a sign of something more serious.

All videos about eye floaters are just as annoying as eye floaters. This video is no exception.

How are they helpful then? You forgot that part.

Helpful .... causing headaches and annoying me all day. Nothing 'helpful' at all.

I think scientists need to do further research on cause, because I've noticed them since I was about 6-7.
I don't need glasses, have no infections, nothing inflamed or any type of hemorrhaging.

spending money to go to mars or moon that scientist
could use them for an eye drop treatment for eye floaters.

No, floaters do not "eventually float to the bottom" and they don't go away. Once you get a new floater, it's there for life. Your brain may attempt to "tune them out" when your eyes aren't moving, but once your eyes move (which is most of the time), you're going to see those same floaters.

This video perpetuates the same bits of disinformation used to encourage doctors to be dismissive of patient complaints. They may be "harmless" from a physical standpoint, but when you have many large, dark floaters obscuring your vision, they definitely wear you down mentally. Floaters suck.

Another video with no real actual footage of the concentric circles and strings. Hard to believe collagen would break down into perfect spheres. Why can't doctors admit they have no idea what they are?

Floaters are useful as it surely enrich $ lots of doctors.

I had horrible pvd’s with flashes and floaters in both eyes at 42 and 21 years ago and let me tell you that they have gone 20times worse . How bad it gets depends on the structure of your vitreous and how much traction the i liquefied portion of it puts on the retina. Floaters can either be the result of clamped up collagen that has regrouped, thin pieces of retina layers that have adhered to the regrouped collagen inside the vitreous including those black dots ( pepper like ) that are pigmented cells released from retina ( tobacco dust~ Shafer ‘s sign ) and even much more cells released if there is a retinal tear.
The truth is that floaters is ‘ the gift ‘ that keeps on giving and that we better learn to accept them as they are more resilient than we could possibly be.

This person has no clue what they are talking about. They don’t go to the bottom of the eye and they don’t go away.

Is that what eye doctors tells us to do to look left or right they know exactly where they are what's going on behind them

I cured my floaters 100 percentage using following way in 4 months ---

Most important - 3 big slices of pineapple 2times a day for 2 month then 1 slice for 1 time to avoid any side effects of pineapple overeating --

1. Drink lots of water
2. Drink 1 glass of water before sleep & in between sleep if you awake drink water
3. Sleep for 9+ hours 1/2 + hour afternoon & sleep without pillow
4. Keep eyes always hydrated (not dry) use water to wash eye (6/7 times a day) to hydrate
5. Fasting (no food) one day per week.. fruit+water allowed
6. Don't squeeze or use fingers or any eye related exercise.. just keep natural eye movement. Should not give any stress on eye.. also don't cough to avoid eye pressure
7. Avoid tv/mobile/laptop as much possible
8. Add fruit in dailt - I eat 5 fruit everyday
9. Run for 15 minutes everyday
10. Take 1 spoon of ghee everyday

I never knew what they were until about the age of 17. I'm 20 now and they've been the biggest irritant of my life. I usually struggle to focus on things, but these make it 300x worse because they're always in shapes that catches my attention and makes it hard to stay on track

I thought you were going to say something about how floaters are “helpful”…………….

Level of inaccurate information here is worrying. They are definitely not harmless, they don't become less noticeable and they cause chronic levels of depression and have resulted in known suicides - see 2019 study.

i do monthly visit on my opthalmologist because my eye floates caused me extreme anxiety, and my doctor said my retina is okay and it happens because i'm nearsighted (myopic)

How does any of this imply they're helpful?
