Thank you very much for this video, excellent points. I burned out hard on my last job and it was largely due to a toxic work environment and unsupportive/antagonistic management.

Good to see you back!

The points are very true. I quit a year ago from IT completely burned out and it was only about 5-6 months ago that I did some volunteering and met some people to chat after watching one of your previous videos. The only thing that truly clicked with me was clearly out of financial reach and I began to look for jobs in IT again.

I only applied to one job in the public sector and after a successful interview, I actually found myself being excited about the job and that is because most of these values looked good and I realised that my burnout was caused by corporate jobs with a bad environment and my own negative reaction to them.

So I would say I rather work in a career I don't feel much for with these values being positive and aligned to me than one I am passionate about where they are negative and not aligned.
