True, like it's unrealistic for students to visualize what's perfect for them in the far future when they are evolving day to day. You meet new people, learn new things, and become tired of some stuff while becoming interested in other things. That's why life progress is really about taking a bunch of small steps and reflecting as you go to see what feels right for you XD

Way to give me an existential crisis right as I finally think I've decided on something

On your channel, I've noticed that you emphasize that learning isn't linear, and I'm so glad to see that concept applied to finding your ideal profession. I have never heard of the Ikigai framework before, but I'll be sure to print it out and refer back to it throughout my life. Thanks, Justin.

Very true, and even within the four categories, it's not always black and white. You can love some parts of your job but also hate others. That's because there is no such thing as a perfect job.

It's really interesting that I haven't found another creator who resonates as much as you do. The topics that you cover and the way that you explain things immediately clicks for me and hits on the exact things that I was confused about before. Anyway, I now know why my previous career wasn't a good fit. Thanks!

Glad I found this. My best skills & passions are history & the arts.I’ve been trying to become a history teacher but I’m an introvert. So it’s like, is this going to work?🤔but I do get excited teaching people but I haven’t done a classroom yet. I’m going to try a public speaking class.& debt is scary especially if u realize u picked the wrong career

Love the twist you made at the end Justin, I've read Ikigai myself (would recommend it, pretty interesting read) and what struck out to me is that I wanted to do something which I wasn't good at since it's a place for me to grow and learn more about myself.

So I choose physics, the subject which I was worst at, and at the moment it's the right choice. However I've been feeling anxious about getting money from it, I'm trying to get more skills which can help with that aspect but it still felt uncertain. This video helped easy that anxiety a lot, I guess it's like peeling a new layer back of yourself with each experience you have in a sense. Then constantly aligning your life with these experiences and molding responsibilities to fit with each stage of your life.

I have been thinking about it a lot in the last few months, partially because of the accelerated rate that the market have been changing, but you're totally right. Why try to hold back our own spirit when it's nature is to be free? Thanks fo the video!

Much needed advice, thank you! The concept of ikigai is explained very clearly. The only way is to go and try out things or careers which one would like to pursue.

I have to admit I'm guilty of choosing my college degree because of some anime I've watched when I was in high school lol. But even after getting a taste of the "behind the scenes" of my dream, I still feel like it's the right path for me (tho not in the same level of passion as my ignorant young self once had)

If you love something, are good at it and can be paid for it but the world doesn't need it, there is no way anyone doing something like that feels useless, they are happy and fulfilled in life, and you can ask for no more

Mr. Justin Sung, this was an extremely helpful video, I now have a positive existential crisis.

Video Request: HOW EDUCATORS (secondary school teachers preferably) SHOULD TEACH and incorporate learning science into their teaching strategies.

When making videos like your hypercram strategy, please try to mention that Priming is a necessary step or else people who are new to your channel May only watch the videos without implementing it properly and may believe that your system doesn't work 👍

Just keep in mind not to ponder such things too deeply while crossing the street unless you want to give the Isekai framework a try...
PS: love the expansion pack for the OG videos, Dr Sung! At this point, this is less about learning and more just plain solid life advice. Happy to have one less invisible wall to bash my head against! Big thanks!
