Levy might not be a GM but he has accomplished and done more for the greater chess community than almost anyone in the industry. We all root for him as the people’s champion and teacher. He is the best content creator for chess teaching millions of people in a very easily digestible and articulate style- inspiring many people to get involved and play.

The problem is that becoming a GM means winning a lot of games vs. people who are mostly younger, more energetic people that are just as good or better than you. It's a crazy grind. It's not a question of Levy's ability or chess knowledge, it's a question of whether he can win against such competition at a high enough percentage against people who don't have the distractions he has.

But I hope he makes it
