My favorite "Ollie-ism" of 2022, from the earlier video on inner tubes ... "Resistance is Butyl!" Should be on a T-shirt with an appropriate image...

I'd love to see a continuos loop of cyclist on the velodrome too. you'd probably need like 83 cyclists though, going by each cyclist occupying 3m of space (Bike plus small gap to the person in front)

If you do plan to travel with and pack your bike, (build the bike for the way you will use the bike in the future) leave the cables, hoses, on the long side to make removing and placing the bars in the bag easier.

I would love to see a gravel bike tyre comparison, 32, 40, 45 and 50 millimeters, and the 50 compared to a 2.1 MTB tyre. Please GCN, can you do it?

I'd love to see a video on GCN packing their bikes for travel, with more tips and tricks.

Please make the velodrome video! I never knew that I wanted to know the answer to that question.

Continuous Loop Velodrome. You may have just invented a new Olympic event. Or solved perpetual motion. Love it!

The problem with the speedplays also sounds like the cleat have been overtightened. The screws that hold the metal plat to the plastic have a specific torque setting and if it is over tight its near impossible to get the pedals in without a lot of force.

I've been using a 32c tire on a gravel-specific wheelset and they have ballooned past the 32mm spec. They have been great for winter riding through the wet and branch-filled trails.

Love the idea of a bunch of serious competitors who are about to compete for the gold and glory line up in a ridiculous circle and have a good laugh together

Going from post mount to flat mount is a bit of a hassle, at least in options I have come across. There are a couple adaptors out there, but not many companies offer them. Also you may have to increase the diameter of one or both of your disc rotors depending on the standard used on the frame and the adaptor manufacturer. If there are more options for adaptors out there I would love to hear about them.

I'd love to be able to buy a sub 250g 42mm tire that I can pump up to 10bar/145psi that has a rolling resistance of less than 4W.

In addition to added weight (which is minimal), the reason road bikes aren't designed to accommodate everything from 19mm up to 40mm wide tires is because it alters the handling of the bicycle. Road bikes are designed with a certain handling characteristic in mind. That characteristic is partially determined by trail. Going from a 23mm tire to a 38 mm tire will increase the tire circumference enough to affect trail figures which in turn affect handling characteristics.

Just gone from 25mm to 28mm my bikes max and that seems just right more comfortable and grip seems better.

#askgcntech I own a Canyon Grizl and want to upgrade it with a RockShox Rudy. There are no aftermaket forks in 1 1/4" and Canyon refuses to sell one to me. What are the essential services that a good bike manufacturer should provide to its clients?

I found a good latex tube in a 50 year old bike. When not exposed to light or humidity, they last a long time.

700C is a 0.70 m tyre diameter. The seat diam is 622mm, so the tyre had 38mm profile. A smaller tyre profile with seat diam 622 still remains 700C.
700C x 20mm is near enough 26 inches, so you may as well use 26 x 1 3/8", 35 - 590.

title question answer : because chainstay limitation. At most race inspired road bike geometry the tyre would either start touching the front derailleur cage, or the big road cranks start touching the chainstay.

Cant see why more than 28-30mm tires needed on the road. Even 26-27mm is more than enough at least here in Japan
