I want to reclaim the term "processed" food. If you eat frozen corn, you eat processed food. If you eat stewed tomatoes or dried apricots, you eat processed food. Anything done to a food item that either prepares it to be consumed or prepares it for storage is "processing" it. I wish there was a separate term for the other stuff. But even if there were, no food should be off limits to the point of shame.

Unless you own a farm and pick your own food, everything is “processed” to an extent. It’s the amount of processing that can become an issue if consumed in too large of quantities too frequently, this is why we say moderation.

Grateful to be past this phase of my life, some of it was OCD which improved with medication, but a lot of it was only having disordered eating modeled to me since birth.

OMG. Butter, bread, avocado, and eggs, are 4 ingredients. He ate a 4 ingredient sandwich. This is just silly.

People really expect their food to be shipped across the country in trucks and not be processed. Just because it’s processed doesn’t mean it’s bad

"Processed food" vs "Food with preservatives." EVERYTHING is processed. Most MILK is processed, to ensure it's safe for consumption. If you're worried about eating a lot of extra preservatives and dyes, then buy whole foods and look at the ingredients label to see if the fillers you're trying to avoid are present. Even preservatives aren't bad either. Those preservatives are there to keep the food edible for longer periods of time.

I love eggs but oof! that was a pretty high fat brekky! I agree, nothing wrong with processed (measured, chopped, assembled, seasoned) food as long as it makes you happy and healthy 😋

I make my own yogurt and bread in machine, splurge on egg noodles and during holiday a ready made pie if suffering the blues. Just eat in season, homemade and 5hrs window to eat.

I must eat carb controlled or my blood sugar soars so you do what you must and do what keeps you healthy don’t ever listen to ANYONE ELSE ! Know you numbers and do something about it ! Exercise lift weights walk sleep avoid highly processed junk and be happy ❤
