I noticed you went from English style on the right side showing the yarn over to Continental style when you turned the work and purled to show what it would look like on the wrong side.  A beginning knitter may find this confusing.

Last time I did this it was listed as YFWD so not sure if this is just the same thing or what but it's certainly what I did on a different pattern I was following before the current pattern that puts what you're doing as YO not YFWD

How do you do a yarn over then purl 2 tog ?

Couldn't see what you were doing on the purl side, it looked so strange.

This style is NOT English. All UK knitters use this method of holding wool and knitting and when Americans call it 'English' you manage to offend 3/4 of the UK.
