I just watched all the seasons of GG and then the new episodes and I thought they were great. Not sure why everyone is hating on the remake, it's really good.

although not ideal, i think the ending is fairly realistic, things in life happen, we sometimes don't get what we initially aspire to have. not every academically achieved people make it big outside school. success in the conventional/superficial and glamorous way isn't the only success there is. i think rory would just be fine. i love this show so much, it is a big warm embrace and a reminder of how fulfilling slow life can be.

When paris told rory she's okay not being the valedictorian coz she research those who were and they became a failure after 25 years from graduating. Seems it ended that way for rory.

I don't know if I need a season 2 but if I think my idea would be : another Gilmore.

After telling mom about the pregnancy she refuses to tell who is the father (mom do not know about Logan yet). Luke finds out about the book and proposes that Rory moves in into the flat above the diner which he kept for storage. So she cleans that up and writes another chapter, this time about her boyfriends and is thinking a lot about Jess. Asks him to be her book editor as he worked as a publisher so he comes for the summer and moves above the diner too. The town speculates, but at first their is nothing going on. One night Rory tells him about the baby and refuses to tell who's it is saying that it's the family tradition to raise children alone so if mum could she can do it. Jess says that yes she can, but if she 'll let him he will help. He tells her how it was never good timing for them but maybe now it is if she is certain that she doesn't want to be with the baby father. She thinks about it, but next day realises that Jess was always the one to inspire her to do better so they finally spent the night together. Town continues to talk and one day Kirk overhears that Rory is pregnant, which at this point she is still trying to hide. They all assume it's Jess. Autumn comes and Lorelei is still asking Rory to tell grandma about the baby. She comes to grandma's house with Jess. They have big fight and baby secret comes up. Grandma never liked Jess so she says that finally Rory managed to waste her life. Rory storms out and grandma is very upset. Lorelei and Luke also have a fight when they talk about Jess being a father of the baby and Lorelei is still not sure If he'd be a good one. Logan comes saying he is no longer engaged and he tried but its always Rory for him. She refuses to talk to him but he sees the belly. Jess comes and realises it's Logan (the father) and has a big fight with Rory. They all storm out.Rory and Lorelai prepare for Christmas, Luke comes back and says he will support them no matter what because they (Rory and Lorelai) are his family but asks not to set Jess aside . Heavily pregnant Rory realizes that she needs Jess and sets out to look for him. Luke and Lorelai won't let her go alone so they all have big road trip. Thet accidentally meet Emily and her new guy and Lor says something like "I always new it will be the gardener" and they continue the journey together (Emily says how irresponsible it is and it's days to due date, but they all tell her to shut up and the boyfriend says he loves adventures). They find Jess on a ranch during snow storm. Make some jokes about tight jeans and horses and middle of that Rory goes into labour. They all make up and a baby boy is born : Lukas Richard Gilmore. Rory and Jess make up and live at the ranch and Rory writes more novels. The next summer they spent with Emily and her new husband on the coast and her hub has lots of grandchildren and they all have festive 4th of July. The end

So... I'm gonna drop a bombshell because I just noticed that Rory was 32 in the revival. The Revival ISN'T CANON. Let me explain before you go nuts. It was established in Season 1 Episode 18: "The Third Lorelai", that Rory has a TRUST FUND. Rory gets access to the trust fund when she turns 25. She would have turned 25 in between 1-2 years after she graduated from Yale. It is impossible for Rory's life, in the revival, to be such a mess because she would have had 7 years to learn and get used to managing such a small fortune that could have made her grow up to be more stable, and honestly, make her whole being broke situation non existent. I highly doubt that so many people around her would have let her blow through a small fortune in just 7 years. Specially not Richard, since it's his beloved mother who set up the trust fund for Rory and it would be impossible for him to sit back and watch Rory waste his mothers money. He would most likely be the one to teach her and help her set up some form of financial portfolio to make her dream life more sustainable. And Richard is supposed to only have died at the beginning of the Revival, giving him plenty of time to influence Rory about financial matters. So Rory becoming the entitled millennial we see in the Revival is just ludicrous. It would be more realistic and believable to find Rory embracing a life that was actually closer to the life that Emily and Richard built for themselves, but with a more modern independence, than the mess we were given in the Revival. The only thing I would agree with is her failure in becoming a journalist because her choice in career always felt like it mostly stemmed from the fact that she dreamed of traveling all over the world and had a deep enjoyment of writing and literature. Actually, she would have made an amazing educator.

I am kinda happy that this series has come to an end. Lorelai character was the real symbol of stubbornness throughout the series. Her respect to senior people were never better than a teen who assumes that he or she knows the best.

I adore the Gilmore girls series but was disappointed in the follow up. Rory was leading a scandalous life with engaged logan, gets pregnant yet who is the dad? Logan, the wookie or the 2yr boyfriend paul. The Dragonfly is unable to keep a cook. Sookie is missing from the wedding & most of the show. Just all around disappointing. Just didn't fit the series.
