Both my cars are equipped with factory halogen, but I upgraded all of them with HID`s for both LOW and HIGH BEAMS.

U.S. Regulations should just stop being rediculous. I read that Audi's matrix beam LEDs aren't allowed in the States because we civilians might mistake them as emergency vehicles because of the way it turns off some LEDs so it won't blind oncoming traffic. Now, I'm pretty sure we're smart enough to tell the difference between blue and red lights on an ambulance blaring its sirens and an innocent Audi luxury sedan. We're better off just following European regulations.

I use my high beams on most of the time at night. My windows have are tinted so an incoming person's high beams won't really effect me.

Had a rental car one time that had higher intensity, low beam lights (not sure what type). While I was driving at night in a less populated area but where traffic was still present I had everybody in the opposite direction and in the same direction continually flashing their high beams on and off at me to turn down my lights but I couldn't. I was using the regular low beams. The other drivers were all pissed at me and I felt like a total douche. So now I'm not sure what I make of this advice.

Bad advice. You shouldn't use high beam all the time, especially on a two-way road. You'll temporary blind drivers from other lane. And that's not a good thing.
