I got scratches from my cat more than 4 times. Each one make me bleed a little . One injury was deep . But I got no rabies at all . I think rabies is not that easy to get from a scratch.

Cat scratch fever cost me over $20k in medical bills once. My kid was 7, started having severe migraines for about a month and then his lymph nodes swole, they thought maybe mono, started antibiotics, 2 days later he started spitting up blood and immediately had a seizure. Went to ER and they admitted him for a week doing a million tests, scans, checking for leukemia etc finally turned out it was just a very bad case of cat scratch fever. He'd never been scratched but a stray kitten had licked a piece of food he was eating a couple months before...thats all it took. I caught him sharing the food w the kitten and was like no dude, don't let it lick your food! Just give it the food now that it licked it! But he'd already had a couple bites. Smh...

2 days is enough for rabies symptoms if I recall and if you have symptoms you are done. Treat it immediately if you think it's so

what if after a week, the symptoms didn't show to the person, yet the cat dies before 2 weeks because of starvation (assuming that my cat dies because it was infected by rabies) and the scratch was not treated immediately, and didn't get a shot 3 days after the bite, should we be concern?

I got scratched by a cat when I was 7 years old or something? I was really worried, But now im 9 yrs old I didnt get rabies. And then I gladly realized that I was only a little one and my skin didnt bleed or broke. I am very lucky

I felt a very tiny scratch from a stray kitten ( I don't know it was his teeth or claws) but I don't think my skin broke as there is no sign of blood or any scratches I sanitized it immediately with Dettol hand sanitizer (which contains good amount of Alcohol) and when I came back home I washed it for 15 minutes 🥺🤣 I feel a little itchy maybe because of too much soap but I still can't see a proper scratch
So what should I do? Should I take it seriously? Should I get shots?
P.S : I have shot phobia :(
