Interesting because here in Indonesia, "juice" [/jus/] means blended fruit (alongside its flesh and fibers). While the original meaning of juice is called as [sari buah].

It's not just that the fiber makes you feel full, not eating the fiber of the fruit makes you miss out on a lot of the vitamins and other nutrients that the fruit originally has. Fiber also helps develop a good gut microbiome. Most store bought juices are processed to the point that they lose their nutritional content and they have to add them back in, but they're not absorbed by the body as well as whole fruits. Also store bought juices tend to have added flavorings and even more concentrated sugar in them than fresh squeezed juice. If you're going to have sugary juice, then they're best to have watered down and watering them down also saves money.

Y’all, juice is fine. It’s fine. Don’t let these people demonize foods because it gets them more clicks and ruin your relationship with food in the process. Sure juice has a fair bit of sugar and relatively little fiber unless it’s been added back in, but as part of a balanced diet, that’s fine. It’s a sometimes food not an always food. It also has a lot of beneficial vitamins and minerals, particularly if it’s fortified. Enjoy your juice 🧃
