Vafan. Den håller på att dö ut här också. Jag ska fira Frejas midsommar på fredag. Första gången sen jag var barn. Enkelt

It's the solstice tonight. I'm currently sat by the fire, next to the water.
Thank you for your video. I hope you're enjoying this solstice too.

Ireland still observes the Solstice in tiny pockets of "alternative" folk. Somewhere every year there's at least one rave in the forest and most people have no idea why they're there on that day. Those who know, know to keep the fire lit until the sunrise. I tried to observe it this year with some friends, but the land I have access to was unavailable to me. I feel deprived in this modern world.

Very satisfying. This answers several of my questions about the quirkiness of the calendar, holidays & the earth’s movement. We all know something is not quite right - but maybe don’t know exactly why? Live & learn!

But yo.. why the rave music and why is it as loud as your voice? Harder to hear you with it.
Can you maybe remove that song and it would be easier to hear and understand you? Your message kinda disappear due to it.
Well, you Norwegians are the crazy little brother after all..

The music takes away from your knowledge. It's two different stimulating sources, the techno beats, and trying to take in your message.

I started celebrating Summer Solstice long before knowing anything about paganism. I just wanted to party, but now days I understand it means so much more than that.

The tall bonfire that starts at the 5:52 mark has a “Mjolnir of Fire” at the very top of it! Its very clear and easy to see, I wonder if any of those many celebrants happened to see it too??

Most cultures as they rise, appropriate customs/ideas from earlier times. The whole 'christian' thing is the major reason I much prefer the culture and beliefs of my Norse ancestors.

Many of these things are still done freely in parts of Russia, Lithuania, and Poland as well! The Rodnovian versions of course.

We still celebrate this festival massively in my country as well. We light bonfires and jump over them, and wear red threads on our wrists etc. It's a national pagan holiday.
And the celebration starts late at night on the 13th of march and lasts a few days.
