As a german speaker I find "te gek" funny, because "gek" means "raar" and "te gek" is a kind of the opposite. It means "super".

If you think the word 'sectie' (section) is fun. We sometimes have a section for a specifc profession, its called a 'vaksectie'.

Well, to me as a native Dutch speaker the words "sectie" and "sexy" also sound the same, and it's basically rather because of the context in which the words are used that I don't get confused.

I like pech. In polish it means bad luck. In dutch - broken car during a ride... well. bad luck indeed.

"Hoor" (hear), which sounds exactly the same as "whore" (English), and it's specially funny when you hear someone respond to someone else with "Ja hoor" or "ik hoor je".

"Koe" (cow), which sounds like "cu" (Portuguese), meaning anus (not in a classy or scientific way) in Brazil, or ass in Portugal.

I think "ledikant" is a very nice Dutch word for English speakers.

The Dutch words that I find hilarious are swaffelen (to slap the male appendage against something}, snurken (to snore} and ontploffen (to explode).
I also find it amusing how some Dutch words are a literal description, such as naakteslag (naked snail), which is a slug.

Funny how in Russian it would mean little fart, because scheetje or poepescheetje (little fart or little poopiefart) is also a commonly used term, but a term for endearment.

The Frisian word for sleeping is kûse/kûske/koese.
But in Dutch it's kus/kusje.
In Frisian a kusje/kiss is a tút.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the word: "kunt"
Which is from the verb kunnen which means can in English.
So we say: jij kunt
Which is very bad in English 😁
