We have an amazing mma match from DefendFC. Accompanying Jerry in his commentary is Shinigami "Big Shin" and Rachel. Let's see how Malte Hilder, representing Krav Maga, sticks to a proven way to beat boxing, represented by Bilal El-Zein. Lots of great martial arts lessons to break down and learn from this match! Have you guys trained Krav Maga? Have you guys trained boxing? Shoutout @ShinigamiTheReaper and @DEFENDFightClub

I am also a Krav practitioner. Krav Maga strategy is never to fight someone at their strength. Don't box with a boxer. He should have done more calf kicks till boxer can’t stand up anymore. Then take his legs out, (or Thai clinch and knee) and ground and pound which he did, but KM guy took risk to box for too long. A better boxer would have close in and Tyson him out.

Something not mentioned here is that the boxer is at a huge disadvantage because of the grass and no shoes. You can get a lot more leverage with boxing shoes on a mat. When you train years on mats and transition to grass you realize quickly that you lose a lot of mobility and power. Now all the punches you've trained to take advantage of the torque from your legs and hips are diminished. When you fight on a mat your footwork is faster and you can really dig into the mat to generate force. The Krav guy is probably more used to fighting on different surface areas being that it's self defense oriented. Krav guy would have probably still won but it's worth considering.

It's been many years friend and I'm glad you've never changed.

There is no bad technique/Skill in this World, it all depends on who uses, Every technique can be effective. All Martial Arts style must be respected.

The boxer is throwing more punches but if you pay attention, 76% of the boxer's punches are being blocked.

This is the first time I saw a Krav guy actually know how to fight. Usually when they go against MMA, they get knocked down in seconds.

I’ll say great job by both for going in and respectfully working their fight.
They have emphasis on a certain technique but both used MMA.

Wow, very good fight. I was legitimately impressed by the Krav Maga guy, who I was certain would be picked apart by the boxer in no time. If he only does Krav, and has no other training experience in other styles/systems, then it's pretty obvious that at whatever Krav Maga school he trains at, they spar regularly, and his instructor definitely incorporates alot of boxing/kickboxing into the Krav curriculum. He definitely did an outstanding job.

Well done mate!

Krav maga guy looked in his element good win! Shinigami is right, experiencing certain kicks for the first time is mind blowing and if your body is trained you can only receive so many before losing your base for good. That's why Thai fighters take the W with their roundhouses.

Really enjoyable fight and commentary! Even if he isn't the best boxer, there seems to be a lot here to learn from, like how useful that sweep could be at the end.

It's nice to see a Krav guy properly represent us for once, I see too many Krav guys from bad clubs giving it a bad reputation.

Krav is not designed for being in a ring, it’s a street fight technique.

Really interesting how quickly it turned around when they hit the ground. Thanks for the video!

I practiced Krav Maga for 3 years, and yes krav maga uses some boxes hits, but against a boxer indeed i would explore more what is not his environment, like kicks elbow and in this case maybe taking the fight to the ground.
Nice job both of them
