The person who did this doesn’t know the topic. The Andes are not a linguistic divider as there are several countries that straddle both sides of the mountain range. Ofcourse there have been several wars (the Chaco War was not the “biggest”) and South America is much much more than a mountain range and the Amazon .. there are extensive steppes, deserts, forests of all types, fjords, glaciers and ice caps and a wide variety of climates and micro climates. It’s also where the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans physically meet.

There's a joke/ saying in Spanish that Paraguay doesn't really exist, because no one's ever actually met a Paraguayan. Kinda like Delaware or Wyoming.
Paraguay is pretty though... Paraguayan women too. And most people speak Guaraní in addition to Spanish, so that's cool

Economically - railroads were only built from the inside to the coast for transporting plantation/ranch/mining goods to the Coast - but were never really used to facilitate settlement in the interior the way it dId in the US
