Im fortunate i haven't had any major injuries yet, but honestly i think a big reason for that is because i use drills like these for warmups and to strengthen my stabilizer muscles.

Grand advice but bench press with a straight bar is not a natural lift no one lies down to push weight. OH yes you do that in real life
