I audibly gasped when I saw Penelope's design! I love how disgusted she looks when Antinous greets her. She isn't even trying to be subtle about her hatred for the suitors at this point and I find it beautiful. You are so incredibly underrated.

I full on gasped when I saw the Athena statue and then the fact she gave Penelope her wedding ring back I may cry. And the fact that Ody’s throne has an owl on it to represent Athena and Penelope’s has an octopus/sea creature to represent that she’s half-nymph god I love that. And her design is absolutely gorgeous I love her pointy ears and her dress?? Like wow omg

Oh gosh! Penelope looking at Perseus and Andromeda constellations!! A chained Princess, innocent of wrongdoing, waiting for her Hero! That fits so perfectly, what with Perseus and Andromeda being onw of the few greek mythology couples besides Ody and Pen to be faithful to each other (and Pen ancestors besides!)

Odysseus smiling as he remembers Penelope at every stage of life in which he's known her - as a maiden, as his bride, as the mother to his child, as the last sight before he left home, and as the amazing woman today who held out against usurpers for 20 years and raised a wonderful young man on her own...absolutely beautiful. His love for her hasn't changed any more than hers for him and it's wonderful.

Ok so if going by the theory that the ring that was once around Odysseus’ neck, that Calypso took and through into the ocean, was Penelope’s wedding ring, then that means Athena gave back both of their rings to them.

Okay, but showing her praying to Athena in the morning at the home alter made me REALLY happy as a Hellenic Pagan. The heart of worship back then was within the home and this is the ONLY animatic that's shown this. Makes me really happy <3

I absolutely adored how she light candels for Athena and the fact she unstring the bow on purpose for the challenge, this small act makes her a more active character, cause she knows that only Ody can string it and that she just undone her husband work for a seemingly futile act for them. I thing she knows the suitors will be so pissed but she doesnt care.
She really is a real queen and the best woman for Odysseus.

1.) the bow is correct it’s bent backwards what is what you’d see of a high poundage horn composite bow of the time.
2.) the hilarious implication that she is capable of stringing the bow herself is just great

I have to say, choosing an Octopus as Penelope's totem animal for her throne is quite clever. An incredibly intelligent creature with an affinity for solving puzzles, camoflaging for hunting/survival and striking unexpectedly. Love your attention to detail and artistic choices here.
