Hi Dave, thank you for the micro review on the decade resistor board. Gerry

I've explained this a dozen times. It is because of all the weird angles and extended arms I am forced to use to get around the camera and tripod that's in the way. I do not normally shake when soldering.

Wow, you are right. I didn't see that! Obviously still works ok with the few pF of series capacitance in the breadboard.

Keep the mailbag in whatever format you want Dave; I like it either way.

Well done for doing this while you're ill Dave. Hope you get better soon. Rind of a lemon, juice of a lemon, stick of cinnamon, and a tablespoon of honey in a hot pot of tea (changes the colour) is my receipe for beating viruses.
The little capacitive touch sensor is just what I need for a level sensing application in a flammable environment. A comparison of the PSOCs with the Arduino would be great as well - once you are better!
Thanks for all you do!

I don't know if this has been mentioned before and it's probably not that important but... redacting the street address is only of limited value if you leave the postcode visible. Where Mr Sweeney lives, there are 42 possible addresses (all on the same road). For other postcodes, there may be only one or two addresses.

Both Whia and Swiss Tools have not been not well represented or marketed in this country.

sorry to hear it's not quick. Good luck to you Dave. I owe you for sharing your knowledge.

I hope you're feeling better Dave.
I think it's worth showing the letters on the video (not necessary to read them out). We can always pause the video and read it ourselves... that way the letter only needs to be on screen for a couple of seconds. Keep up the great work.

Just chiming in to say I love having the letters and postcards mixed in with the rest of the mailbag.

Dave, try this! Old family secret for little pains of all sorts! One take 5kg of fresh garlic, an air tight glas jar for storage and a fine screen to filter out the chunks! Squeeze out the juice with a garlic press and you will create a great elixir. Take one table spoon in the morning and one before you go to bed. It will not just keep vampires away, but others around you too. Well, suppose you decide if that is an advantage or not! After use, store in a cold and dark place. Last for ages!

Would love to see a dedicated video on the PSoC board. Always been interested in learning more about them.

Love how Dave couldn't resist the postcard. I enjoy the postcard segment :)

on the romanian postcard:
Sinaia is the city, resort more like it.
Castelul means castle
Peles is the name of the castle

It would read out like: Castle Pelesh from Sinaia

No, that's just old stuff left over, it is not connected.

Hi Dave this post card from Artur was in Polish. It is from a girl from Florida called Gosia to Artur with greetings, so it's not for you ;P

It's mid temperature black oxide on the Swiss screwdriver. It's a chemical reaction that converts some of the layers of steel into magnetite providing some corrosion resistance.
